AN AMSTERDAM SCHOOL OAK AND COROMANDEL ARMCHAIR AND CENTRE-TABLE, designed by Piet Kramer and Hildo Krop and executed by 't Woonhuys, the table with circular resting on two concave legs, each set near the base with elaborately carved coromandel ornaments, one depicting a reclining male nude with a bird and surrounded by stylized foliage, the other similar but with a female nude, with additional shelf near base, the armchair with rectangular backrest flanked by plain wooden curved stiles, the front legs extending into the padded armrest and carved at the top with an eagle in flight below a radiating sun and a perched eagle respectively, on two boat-shape coromandel feet at the front and two semi egg-shape feet at the back, with metal tag 't Woonhuys Prinsengracht 709-713 Amsterdam
