AN OAK TURNABLE DESK-CHAIR, designed by Michiel de Klerk for the director's room of the Stoomvaartmaatschappij Nederland in the Scheepvaarthuis, Amsterdam and probably executed by 't Woonhuys, Amsterdam, angular and curved U-shape backrest curving around the seat and extending into the armrests, the armstiles carved at the front angle with linear decoration, shaped square padded seat, the hexafoil column base set just below the seat with a dodecagonal disc, on dodecagonal slightly domed foot, seat, back and part of arms upholstered in brown plastic material and adorned with round-headed copper bolts, with circular metal tag stamped SN 215, 1915-1916
