In the manner of Jean Gourdin, the tripartite waved channelled back carved with foliate trails and three asymmetrically-carved rockwork, C-scroll and scrolled acanthus cabochon clasps, the scrolled foliate-carved channelled padded arms, back, and seat covered in associated 18th Century Beauvais tapestry, woven in wools and silks, en suite with that in the preceding lots, depicting an eagle, a stork and a cockerel to the back, swans, a duck and a coot to the seat in an extensive foliate border of peonies, carnations, honeysuckle and roses in a landscape setting, above a waved foliate-trailed rockwork carved seat-rail centred by further cabochon clasps, on foliate-trailed cabriole legs with scroll feet, the tapestry with restorations and areas of re-weaving and enlarged in the 19th Century with an extended outer foliate border
