Woodcut frontispiece (=Π.) and 35 oval woodcut headpieces to the pretty songs (not 32 as stated by Roscoe). Dutch flowered paper over boards, slightly rubbed, housed in a red linen case, lined with marbled paper. Provenance: Marg. H. Haskoll. October 28 1799. Roscoe J 226(1); A & M 32.
One of Elizabeth Newbery's chefs d'oeuvre in point of originality and elegance. Roscoe records only one copy, in a private collection, and two are known in the United States, one imperfect.
