Circa 1780, stamped by either P. BERNARD or A. P. DUPAIN
Each frame molded overall, the arched crestrail flanked by acanthus finials above a padded back and bowed seat covered with blue and cream gros-grain, flanked by outcurved padded armrests with scrolled fluted handrests and stop-fluted downswept supports, on tapering stop-fluted legs and toupie feet each headed by paterae (4)

Lot Essay

The indistinct stamp is circular and is that of either Pierre Bernard, maître in 1766, or Adrien-Pierre Dupain, maître in 1772.
