A GEORGE III SILVER TEA KETTLE, STAND AND LAMP AND A MATCHING LATER EXAMPLE
The former with maker's mark of Richard Cooke, London, 1803, the later with maker's mark of Elkington and Company, Birmingham, 1929

Plain oval, the openwork stands on four curved legs and with detachable lamps and covers, each with curved spigot, the former with ivory tap, the latter with ebonised tap, each engraved with a coat-of-arms and crest, fully marked - 15¼in. (38.5cm.) high
gross 189ozs. (5,876grs.)

The arms are those of Hesketh quartering others impaling Hinde for Sir Thomas Dalrymple Hesketh 3rd Bt., (1777-1842) and Sophie (d.1817), daughter of The Rev. Nathaniel Hinde, whom he married in 1798 (2)
