A Regency mahogany walnut crossbanded and boxwood lined longcase clock the scrolled pediment above a moulded cornice fitted with an arched glazed door enclosing a white-painted dial, subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed Jas Marshall Wishaw Town, the case with a rectangular crossbanded trunk door flanked by canted angles, the base on a later serpentine plinth 88in. (224cm.) high
