A George III mahogany and brass-mounted longcase clock, the movement striking on a single bell, with brass dial, the chapter ring enclosing a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture and bearing a plaque inscribed Joseph Clark, London, flanked by pierced acanthus- cast scrolling spandrels, the arch with subsidiary strike/silent dial, enclosed by a glazed door flanked by fluted tapering columns, the arched cornice surmounted by a pagoda-style pediment, the case fitted with an arched trunk door flanked by fluted demi-columns, the panelled base with moulded plinth joined by a waved stretcher, 92¾ins (235.5cms) high
