In 1951 the Austin Motor Company introduced the fourth edition of the famous Austin Seven called the A30. It provided instant success as an economical four seat saloon which also had a top speed of 65 mph. In 1956 the A35 was introduced, sharing its 948cc BMC Series A engine with the Morris Minor 1000. The new engine gave enhanced performance with an approximate top speed of 75 mph, as well as a fuel consumption of nearly 50 mpg at 60 mph.

Today the 1960 Austin A35 Countryman is the most sought after A35 model providing a neat and personable estate car with four seats and adequate luggage space . This particular car is in good condition throughout and is finished in grey with its original black rexine interior with white piping - all in very good order throughout. It is good and clean in the engine bay, and is generally reminiscent of a car that has been well maintained and looked after all its life. At some time it has been fitted with new fibreglass front wings, which are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.

This delightful and popular model presents itself as an ideal "starter classic" and is offered without reserve.
