The arms are those of Pott with Clarke in pretence. Cf. the very similar stand in the Hodroff Collection, illustrated by D. S. Howard, op.cit., no.104, p.109. Two similar stands were sold in these Rooms, 31 October and 2 November 1988, lots 416 and 417.
