With rebrowned twist barrels signed in full in gold letters on the rib and with gold bead fore-sight, patent recessed breeches each with two gold lines and platinum-lined touch-hole, scroll engraved grooved tang, signed flat serial numbered locks engraved with scrolls terminating in monster-heads and inscribed 'Patent 2110' and 'Patent 2111' respectively behind the swept rainproof pan, rollers, and patent steels engraved 'Patent Self Primer 2110' and 'Patent Self Primer 2111' respectively, figured walnut half-stock (butt extended, fore-end with minor chips), chequered grip, scroll engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and original brass-mounted ramrod (locks and mounts with areas of light pitting): in original fitted mahogany case lined with blue velvet, with accessories, the lid with large illustrated trade label for circa 1821-1826, flush-fitting carrying handle, and circular escutcheon engraved with owner's crest and initials T.B., London proof marks
