Lot Essay

Panels with floral motifs were a recurring feature of Crace decoration. The Victoria and Albert Museum has a fragmentary design of this type for 9 St. James's Square, London, 1872. Similar motifs were used at Knightshayes Court, Devon, circa 1876 (National Trust).
