Hewitt (1912-71), joined the 7th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 1932; taken prisoner-of-war during the withdrawal to Dunkirk, 1940 and was interned in Oflag 07B, Eichstatt, Germany; rejoined the 7th Battalion, 1947; Major 1948. Corporal J. Kelly joined the 9th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 1937; transferred to the London Scottish, 1939 but served with the 8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in North Africa and Italy; discharged 1962.
Corporal J. McCrossan was taken prisoner-of-war during the Battle of Crete, 1941 and was interned in Stalag 3A, Luckenwalde, Germany (Prisoners of War, British Army, 1939-45--Hayward refers).
Private Neil McLean was wounded in the left leg by shrapnel during the withdrawal to St. Nazaire, May 1940.
Private Alistair Kennedy, died 8th February, 1945 and is buried in Ostend New Communal Cemetery, Belgium.
