INDENTCaptain Eugene Clementi-Smith, D.S.O. (1847-1901), joined the Winnipeg Field Battery, 1871. He was instrumental in raising the Manitoba Grenadier Regiment for service during Reil's Rebellion and served throughout the North West Canada Campaign, 1885. Captain Clementi-Smith died of wounds at Harrismith, 4th October, 1901.
