The present sheet was part of the Cormiers Album which, with the Fayet Album now in the Louvre, contained the largest drawings in Tiepolo's oeuvre. The drawing of The Arrival of the Virgin in Bethlehem from the same source, formerly in the Robert Lehman collection, has a similar watermark
