2nd Lieutenant Frederick William Rivett, M.C., was serving in 125th Heavy Battery, R.G.A., at the time of receiving the above award. He had originally entered the French Theatre of War as a Bombardier in 25th Heavy Battery, R.G.A., in October 1914, and was commissioned in January 1918.
