Two Ming Blue and White Bowls
Jiajing and Wanli six-character marks in underglaze blue within a double circle and of the period (1522-1566 and 1573-1619)
The Jiajing bowl of deep, rounded form decorated around the exterior with figures in a coastal landscape, the interior with a dragon leaping above waves within a double circle, below a border of undulating waves around the rim; the Wanli bowl of smaller size and with an everted rim, the interior center with a front-faced dragon chasing a flaming pearl within a double circle, below a pair of phoenixes in flight around the well, the exterior with a continuous meander of foliate scroll; together with a small blue and white dish, Jiajing mark, Kangxi, decorated with two figures in a garden on the interior and figures in a landscape on the exterior
