TWO MEISSEN TWO-HANDLED POT-POURRI VASES AND PIERCED COVERS of baluster form and with multiple flower finials, painted with Watteauesque scenes of lovers in landscape vignettes, the reverses with bouquets within moulded scroll cartouches and garlands of flowers and fruit issuing from the branch-moulded handles, the bodies further applied with cherubs holding flowers and painted with scattered flowers, on flared feet applied with a putto, a garland of flowers and fruit, the bases applied with shells, reptiles and a beetle (each vase with right foot of cherub lacking, chips and damages to applied decoration, one finial detached), blue crossed swords marks, Pressnumern 58, incised 2745 and 50, circa 1860
