Comparable with The Circumcision and Ecce Homo, both of the 1570s in the Uffizi, S. Lecchini Giovannoni and M. Collareta, Disegni di Santi di Tito (1536-1603), Florence, 1985, nos. 17 and 25, figs. 17 and 21. The present drawing probably dates from the 1570s, as a number of modelli in pen and wash with white heightening date from this period, S. Lecchini Giovannoni and M. Collareta, op.cit., nos. 6-7, 9, 14 and 19, figs. 7-8, 10, 15 and 20
