A SYRIAN TILE PANEL comprising nine tiles forming a square panel, the white ground painted in cobalt-blue, turquoise, manganese and sage-green with a triple arch motif enclosing floral sprays and pendant mosque lamps, the central arch also with a ewer and basin, the side panels and the spandrels filled with the names of 'Allah, Muhammad, 'Ali, Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman, in a blue flowerhead border, late seventeenth century (two tiles with repaired breaks), in metal frame
