AN ENGLISH SILVER-HILTED SMALL-SWORD with colichemarde blade (extreme tip missing) of hollow triangular section, the forte etched with strapwork panels, the hilt comprising knuckle-guard, lobed rear quillon and globular pommel with button, decorated with gadrooning in low relief, and wooden grip bound with twisted and plain silver wire, London hallmark and date letter (defaced) probably for 1746
