Lot Essay

The Swedish silver workshop Borgila was set up in 1920 by Erik Fleming. His success was such that in 1932, shortly before this piece was created, the atelier was awarded the prestigious commission for a complete service (over 800 pieces) as a wedding present for Prince Gustaf Adolf and Princess Sybilla.
