The waved rectangular hinged sloping writing-flap inlaid with trailing foliage issuing from an imbricated egg within a C-scroll cartouche and enclosing a fitted interior with blue velvet-lined writing-surface four, pigeon-holes and seven-serpentine fronted drawers above a sliding well, the frieze with two short and one long drawer flanked by bombé sides and above a waved apron, on cabriole legs and foliate sabot, remounted, indistinctly stamped to the underside of the right hand frieze and with 'JME', restorations
