A SPANISH IVORY-INLAID WALNUT AND PARQUETRY VARGUENO
Early 17th Century
Inlaid to the front and sides with interlaced squares and lozenges, the mounted rectangular hinged top above a hinged fall-front with pierced escutcheons, enclosing a fitted interior with twelve variously-sized small drawers and two hinged doors, all with geometric inlay, the underside of the top with conformingly inlaid panels, the sides with carrying-handles, on a later stand with a spirally reeded column flanked by fluted baluster columns at each end, joined by a pierced arched stretcher with turned finials, each end on a rectangular base with scrolled feet, restorations, the stand 19th Century
