This gun is constructed in such a way as to show no exterior screws on the lock and side-plate, both of which are held internally by means of bars terminating in eye-holes. To dismantle the gun it is necessary first to remove the screw which retains the barrel tang. The barrel is removed by withdrawing the ramrod tail-pipe which engages with a ring on the underside of the barrel
