A PAIR OF BELGIAN PERCUSSION RIFLED TARGET PISTOLS with signed rebrowned octagonal sighted barrels (some rust and pitting, one fore-sight missing), scroll engraved case-hardened breeches and tangs, the latter each fitted with adjustable back-sight, case-hardened locks each engraved with a dog, a partridge, and a snipe, all within a landscape, and with stepped tail and scroll engraved hammer, figured walnut half-stocks carved with scrolling foliage in relief on the fore-ends and fluted butts, engraved iron mounts, and set triggers: in original fitted mahogany case lined in plum velvet with accessories (mallet chipped), the lid with brass escutcheon engraved with owner's name, by Charles Lenders, Liège, circa 1860
