1970 LANCIA FULVIA SERIES II SEDAN
Registration No. YTT 714K
Chassis No. 81861333325
Engine No. 104890
Right hand drive.
Lancia's successor to the popular Appia was introduced in 1963 - the all new V4 1,091cc Fulvia sedan. This was an attractive three box shaped luxury four door saloon with a free reving 58bhp engine that provided 86mph. In 1965 the first Fulvia coupe was announced and by 1969, following many evolutionary changes, the final Series II sedan was launched with production ceasing in 1973. The mechanical components were the same as the current coupe with the engine capacity increased to 1,298cc developing 87bhp and mated to a Porsche type synchromesh five speed gearbox. Independent front suspension with servo assisted four wheel disc brakes provided sports car type roadholding and a cruising speed of 100mph - exceptional for a 1.3-litre saloon car weighing over 1000kg.
The engineering quality of this luxury small saloon was exceptional and the comprehensive specification akin to a larger, more expensive car. This sedan is a very original and exceptional example having been meticulously maintained by its past five owners and completed only 70,000 miles. It drives superbly and over the past six years has been owned by a Lancia Club enthusiast.
