Lot Essay

INDENTCaptain Philip Simons Picot, educated at Malvern College and Sandhurst, returned home from Malaya on the outbreak of the Great War after service with the Penang Volunteers, was commissioned and advanced to Captain 21 December 1914. He volunteered for service at Gallipoli and was killed in action 11 July 1915. Captain Picot was buried in Twelve Tree Copse Cemetery, Gallipoli.

Second Lieutenant Robert Yearsley Clarke Smith, was killed in action France/Flanders 21 March 1918 and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
