INDENT Captain Francis Richard Egerton Savory, educated at St. Anthony's Eastbourne, Stonyhurst College and Sandhurst, was commissioned in the 1st Bn. K.S.L.I., February 1912; Lieutenant, 1914, and Captain December that year; served in France from September 1914, invalided in November; embarked for the Mediterranean, 13 November 1915, was wounded in action at Suvla Bay 1 December, and died of his wounds on the Transport Massila, 5 December; he was buried at sea off Mudros

Private James Kirby, born Audenshaw, Cheshire, was killed in action at the Battle of Armentiers, 23 October 1914, and is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial
