INDENTSecond Lieutenant James Douglas Tomblin, educated at Highgate School, served with 12 Company, 12 Battery, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), and died of wounds 13 November 1915. He is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery Belgium ("Our Heros" (Irish) and Highgate School Memorial refer)

Lieutenant Harold Raymond Tomblin, younger brother of J.D.Tomblin, joined the Public Schools Battalion of the Royal Naval Brigade on the outbreak of war and was commissioned with the Manchester Regiment early 1915; he was killed in action in France, 10 July 1916, and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial (entitled to 1914-15 Star).
