The movement with bimetallic balance to gilt platform duplex escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on a bell on the backplate numbered 49495, the white enamel Roman dial signed Bourdin, Rue De La Paix 28, Paris, blued moon hour and minute hands, seconds ring at XII, alarm ring below, the well proportioned and heavily constructed case engraved with scrolling foliage to the base, entrelac floral engraving to the angles supporting the top with push repeat button and foliate engraved handle, the spandrels engraved with flowers, solid rear door with shutters to the winding and hand-set holes, signed in the centre Bourdin Hger. Bté. Rue De La Paix 28 within an engraved laurel wreath.
