Italy in the 1960s was experiencing a period of success which provoked Fiat into replacing their existing 1200 by two new engine sizes, the 1300 and 1500. Demand for an open car was satisfied in 1963 with the launch of the 1500 Cabriolet with coachwork designed by Pininfarina. This aerodynamic body style allowed speeds up to 100mph.
This car is complete, but in very poor and rusty condition. It was acquired by its present owner in 1979 and used for a short while before being stored in a leaky barn. The keys have been lost.
