A GEORGE III SILVER TEAPOT
maker's mark of Paul Storr, London, 1816
Of circular form and on plain spreading foot, with curved spout, hinged domed cover and detachable oak leaf and ivory acorn finial, the body chased with flutes and acanthus leaves, the cover with a band of rosettes within latticework, engraved with a crest within the Garter motto beneath an Earl's coronet, marked on base, cover and finial - 7in. (17.8cm.) high
gross 27ozs. (865grs.)
The crest is that of Clive for Edward, 2nd Earl of Powis, K.G. (1785-1848), Lord Leuitenant of Montgomershire who married Lucy, daughter of the 3rd Duke of Montrose on 9th Fenruary 1818.
