The fine four plate russet iron peach-shaped (momonari) helmet fitted with a gilt copoper crest (maedate) of the moon (kurihangetsu); the neck guard (shikoro) of itamono Hineno laced with white leather in sugake style, bear fur trimmed; mempo of russet iron lined in red lacquered leather throat guard (itamono yodarekake) trimmed in bear fur and laced with white leather kebiki odoshi; horizontal cuirass (yokohagi do) of russet iron; the hip guards (kusazuri) of itamono bear fur trimmed and laced with white leather sugake odoshi retaining banner attachments (gattari and machiuke) for the banner (sashimono) on the back; armoured sleeves (kote), black lacquered iron raft (ikada) form, associated; shoulder guards (sode), black lacquered itamono trimmed with bear fur and laced with white leather sugake odoshi; thigh protector (haidate) of leather Japanese roof tile (kawara) form, black lacquered and leather laced, associated; and shinguards (suneate) of black lacquered Shino style, associated, late 17th century
