A NISHAPUR POTTERY CONICAL BOWL on short foot, the red clay interior painted in white slip under the pale green glaze with a central stylised bird with scrolling wings, the sides with a band of foliated kufic. the interstices filled with dotted panels, a band of lobed motifs around the rim, the exterior with groups of diagonal stripes, 10th century (slight restoration)
