recto with gold ground finely painted with an abundant variety of plants and floral sprays including roses, narcissi, hyacinths, violets, flag irises, hazelnuts, cherry blossom, pansies and poppies interspersed with birds, butterflies and insects, signed by Muhammad Sadiq and dated AH 1160/1747-8 AD, around a purple and white minor border and a blue and red border painted with gold meandering flowering and fruiting vine respectively, (very slight flaking, centre missing), verso with blue leaf finely painted with two-colour gold interwoven meandering palmette and floral sprays, signed by Hadi and dated AH 1170/1756-7 AD, around a red border with gold painted meandering flowering vine, the centre with the remains of a panel of black nasta'liq, signed by 'Imad al-Hasani ... and dated 1018, (negligible wear)
