gouache on paper, bust portrait in profile, the bearded noble, facing left, wears a green coat embroidered with pink roses on yellow stems and a green and white striped turban bound with a rose-embroidered cloth, pale green ground, gold and coloured margins between black rules, (very slight flaking, ground with areas of overpainting), mounted on cream leaf painted in gold, pink and green with large scrolling palmette and floral sprays, (minor staining and rubbing)
