Each on shaped-circular base and with baluster stem, vase-shaped socket and detachable shaped-circular nozzle, chased with shells, scrolls and spiral flutes, the rim of the bases stamped with a coat-of-arms and engraved with initials and scratch weights 31¼ and 31¾, marked on bases and nozzle, - 9¼in. (23.5cm.) high

Lot Essay

Jonas Thomasson Ronander was born in Visby in 1717. He completed his apprenticeship with H. Nordwall in Stockholm between 1736 and 1740. His mark is recorded from 1754 until his death in 1781 although his wife continued to use it until 1784.
