First 8 words of title engraved within a cartouche of dolphins and fish, 10 engravings of fish in text, 2 pages (214-215, P3v-P4r) of words and music for "The Angler's Song," the bass voice printed upside down, 3 woodcut initials and head and tail ornaments. (Title A1 with inner margin renewed and a few other marginal repairs, A8, G1 and S8 with inner margins renewed, a few other minor marginal repairs, small closed tears on M6 and Q4 crossing text.) 19th-century brown hard-grained morocco gilt, edges gilt, bound uniformly with the preceding lot.

Third edition. Except for a few changes, the third edition is almost identical to the second. Along with several small textual changes, the John 21.3 quotation has been removed from the title-page and the "C" of "Complete" in the running headlines are now all similar. "The Lawes of Angling" here are added for the first time, printed in gothic type. The third edition was reissued in 1664, the only difference being in the substituton of a new title-page.
