With rebrowned twist barrels signed on the narrow rib and with copper fore-sight, recessed patent breeches each with four gold lines extending across the rib, and platinum-lined touch-hole, engraved grooved tang, signed engraved serial numbered bevelled locks each with stepped rounded tail, roller, and patent steel (indistinctly numbered), and each inscribed respectively 'Patent 342' and 'Patent 343' at the rear of the swept rainproof pan, figured walnut half-stock (minor bruises), chequered grip, engraved iron mounts (some wear), silver escutcheon, and brass-mounted ramrod (iron parts with areas of light surface pitting, barrel-bolt bent and chipped), London proof marks, the barrels forged by William Fullerd
