A rare Weesp porcelain pastoral rectangular teacaddy and cover
1759-1771
The yellowish white porcelain ground painted in colours, the front with a scene of a female peasant and her male companion standing before a tree issuing from a fence, the reverse with a scene en suite with two frolicking peasants, the sides decorated with a large tree before faraway farmhouses, with canted shoulders applied with a rocaille scroll, with upright rectangular neck, the rectangular domed cover moulded with basket-woven Alt-Ozier relief decoration (the cover restored)
