An Ouder Amstel porcelain landscapes coffee and teaservice
1783-1795, marked with Amstel in underglaze blue and impressed with L and various numerals for the Daeuber period
Gilt and painted in colours, decorated with dreamy Dutch riverscapes depicting country people at various pursuits on rivershores with architectural structures on the opposite riverbank, on root vignettes, the dentilled edge gilt, comprising: a globular teapot and cover, the spout with leaves in slight relief, double scroll handle, with shaped border, the cover en suite with acorn finial, 11cm. high; a baluster milkjug with generous spout, double scroll handle, 13.2cm. high; a circular sugarbowl and domed cover en suite with acorn finial, 9.7cm. diam.; a slopbowl, 22cm. diam.; a pattipan with wavy edge, 13.5cm. diam.; eight teabowl and saucers; six cylindrical coffee cups ans saucers; six cylindrical mocca cups and saucers, two extra saucers See illustration (25)
