ANGELUS CARLETUS DE CLAVASIO (1411-95). Summa angelica de casibus conscientiae. Additions by Hieronymus Tornieli (fl. 15th century). Venice: Nicolaus de Frankfordia, 30 October 1487.

Collation: π6 a-z A-K12 [L]12 (π1r blank, π1v Tornieli's letter to the reader, π2r author's reply to Tornieli, π2v author's prologue, π3r tables, a1r text, L1r Rubrice iuris civilis et canonici, L12 blank). 409 (of 414, bifolios G3.9 and 4.8 supplied in contemporary MS., π2 probably a facsimile and reversed in binding) leaves. 49-50 lines and foliation, double column, table in 4 columns. Type: 6:63Gb (text), 7:130G (headings), printed guide-letters. 2- to 7-line initials and capital strokes in red, some headlines added in red. (Lower half of final blank missing, tiny hole in first leaf affecting one letter.) Contemporary sheep dyed red over wooden boards, brass corner pieces (missing central pieces and 2 fore-edge clasps), vellum MS. pastedowns, title written on fore-edge, parchment index tabs (sides worn, rebacked). Provenance: Poor Clares of Runcada, Brixen, Tyrol, inscription on rear pastedown dated 1496, Summa ista donata est monasterio sancte Elizabeth ordinis sancte clare in Runkada prope brixinam per resignacionem fratris bernhardi Slierbach ibidem predicatoris approbante & consenciente Ro patre Johanne de Lindenfels vicario prouinciali argentiensis prouincie visitatore monasterii eiusdem anno domini [1496] ante festum omnium sanctorum, short inscription on front pastedown and later inscription on first leaf, along with a bar of music notation; notes on remaining top of final blank in a contemporary hand, with one dated 1515.
