SIX GERMANIC FITTINGS

Including a Visigothic-Mediterranean gilt bronze rectangular buckle-plate, box-shaped, with all-over cloisonné inlays of glass, a rectangle in the center, joined circular cells extending from the corners, semi-circular cells at each side, domed-head rivets at the corners; a Visigothic-Mediterranean gilt bronze mount, tear-shaped with squared-off end, with a raised central area of similar shape, with twenty-eight cloisons set with foil-backed garnets but for four of leaf-shape set with green glass, two attachment rivets at the squared end, and a single along the curved end; a Germanic gilt bronze rectangular mount, box-shaped, a raised cylinder in the center set with a green glass cabochon, surrounded by cruciform diagonal strips creating four cloisons set with foil-backed garnets, perforations at the corners for attachment; a Germanic gilt bronze triangular mount with five cloison cells set with garnets and a single leaf-shaped inlay of green glass, perforated in each lobe for attachment; a Germanic gilt bronze rectangular mount with a semi-circular projection, the five cloisons with two surviving inlays, one of garnet and one of green glass, rivets in the corners; and a Germanic gold rectangular mount with a wire loop at one side, the circular corners and square center cloisons set with garnet, with glass in between, four attachment loops in back
