A PAINTED GRAY POTTERY TRIPOD TWO-PART STEAMER

The lower section with a compressed body raised on three cabriole supports, the shoulder decorated in orangey-red with a wide band of scrolls set between a flange projecting from mid-body and the short neck of the small mouth, both painted in pale turquoise, fitted with a similarly decorated bowl with ring foot and everted rim, cut through the floor of the bowl with five slits which act as steam vents, the bowl converting to a cover for the lower section when inverted
