The oval top and flaps centering a coat-of-arms within entwined laurel branches and bordered by floral branches and ribbon ties above a frieze drawer centering the blackamoor crest within guilloche and flowerheads, on square tapering legs headed by husks and with brass feet and casters, bearing an old Frank Partridge plaque

Lot Essay

The arms appear to be those of Masterman of Settrington Hall (or Wheel Hall, Riccal), Yorkshire impaling Mildred. The drawer front displays the Moor's head family crest.
