Other closely related mirrors were supplied in 1759 by the Edinburgh cabinet-maker William Mathie to the Earl of Dumfires for Dumfries House (F. Bamford, 'A Dictionary of Ediburgh Wrights and Furniture Makers 1660-1840', F.H.S.J., 1983, figs. 14-16).
