The first curved oblong, the base with diaperwork, the sides with wavy borders, the hinged cover engraved with inscription WELLINGTON above the figure of Britannia with military trophies and a laurel branch, with gilt interior, marked on interior base and cover-- 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) long, the second book-form, engraved overall with foliate scrolls, rocaille and trelliswork, the hinged cover with vacant cartouche, the spine with flowerheads, the gilt interior with hinged grille pierced with scrolls and patera, marked on base, grille and cover--1 3/8in.
