A Chinese white jade pierced rectangular pendant carved with a figure crossing a bridge below a pine tree set within a border of stylised taotie and guei dragons, the reverse with three lines of calligraphy -- 2¾.in.high; another of shaped rectangular form, carved with a boy holding a bamboo in one hand and pulling a wheelchair with a rope carved on the reverse -- 2¾.in.high; another, carved with a figure in a boat among waves before a riverbank below two confronting fish, the reverse with four lines of calligraphy -- 2¼.in.high; a similar pendant carved with figures crossing a bridge before a mountainous river landscape, the reverse with four lines of calligraphy -- 2.in.high; another pendant, carved with figures in a hut beside a mountainous river landscape below confronting dragons, the reverse with four lines of calligraphy -- 2.in.high; and four further jade pendants carved with figures below trees and on rockwork -- 1½.in.to 2.in.high, all 18th/19th century
