An ovoid vase painted and gilt with a shaped rectangular panel of Samurai warriors in a river before a landscape of mountains and pine, the reverse with ladies and attendants outside a walled garden, on a ground of further panels of figures, geometric designs and floral panels, between formal borders (gilt rubbing) -- 18in. high.
